The 2024 Tianfu Book Fair, in pursuit of global outreach, becomes a veritable bridge of the trans-cultural conversation

Publish Time:2024-10-12

Emblazoned with the yearly motif, "Fragrance of Books Enriches Tianfu, Reforms Pioneer a New Phase," the 2024 Tianfu Book Fair ingeniously harnesses a multi-dimensional strategy: innovative integrated operations both domestically and internationally, the synthesis of physical and digital realms, the symbiosis of presentation and commerce, and the confluence of varied commercial endeavors. This fair extends its reach to satellite venues across nine sovereign nations - Germany, France, Panama, the United Kingdom, Italy, Indonesia, Venezuela, Greece, and Spain - and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. These peripheral galleries echo the cadences of the central stage, concurrently exhibiting a curated selection of over 150 Sichuan-native publications, comprising nearly 500 editions, encompassing thematic discourses, literary masterpieces, juvenile literature, culinary guides, and travel narratives. This concerted effort magnifies the Book Fair's circle of friends. In addition, the organizers orchestrate dynamic reader engagement, initiating experiential explorations of Chinese tradition and convivial sharing sessions, thereby unveiling the multifarious charms of Sichuan culture in a vivid tableau to the world.

Throughout its history, the panda, as a benevolent emissary of goodwill, has traversed myriad terrains, gracing an extensive tapestry of nations and regions. During the 2024 Tianfu Book Fair, the Panda Bookstore makes its international debut, with a captivating presence in the United Kingdom, France, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. It erects panda-themed exhibition zones within the Guanghua Bookstore in the UK, the Phoenix Bookstore in France, and the Yau Ma Tei branch of the Zhonghua Book Company in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. These panda-centric havens, ingeniously crafted to be a blend of culture and delight, transport readers into an immersive journey, where the charm and mystique of the beloved creature help enrich their cultural encounters.

The 2024 Tianfu Book Fair, a pivotal platform of cultural interchange, assiduously harnesses its role to galvanize international influence, amplifying its global resonance.
