The International Bookstore, built on December 1, 1949, is the first book import and export institution after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, pioneering the foreign trade and cultural exchange of books. International Bookstore has grown and changed into China International Book Trading Corporation, which integrates book and magazine trade, paper management, asset management, e-commerce, warehousing and logistics, and cultural dissemination. The international bookstore brand has been inherited still.

The International Bookstore will attend the Tianfu Book Fair, displaying multilingual versions of works by General Secretary Xi Jinping, as well as nearly 5000 imported books in 1500 kinds and choicest cultural and creative works. In the meantime, there will be some cultural exchange activities, including the signing ceremony for the first batch of book cooperation for the Project on Mutual Translation and Pulicationg of Asian Classics (China-Nepal/China-Cambodia) , to demonstrate the international view of the Tianfu Book Fair.
